These are exciting times in the making of the Afri Bar. We have some new and exciting developments headed your way as we develop new and exciting amenities for our residents, Guests, stakeholders, and employees.
In hopes of acquiring additional land space, on November 27, 2024, Urban Ground Resort, LLC, owner of the Afri Bar, submitted to Village Resorts Hospitality Group, LLC, a proposal to convert the Afri Town Center into the Afri Entertainment Complex Center a gateway into the world of dining, retail, entertainment, and recreation never seen within a gay demographic before. The Afri Town Center will remain a part of the Afri Plex residential community, while the Afri Entertainment Complex Center will become home to the Afri Sports Arena, Convention Center, restaurants, movie theater, retail, leisure, and recreational space, to include a newly imagined hotel within the Afri Entertainment Complex Center offering our idea of an ultimate gay getaway.
While the Afri Bar, LLC, fully understands many have grown fond of the Afri Town Center, the Afri Town Center may be accessible via the Afri Monorail or shuttle bus. At the same time, the Afri Bar will continue to work at creating unique and seamless environments as you travel through what we call transitional environments.
Secondly, the Afri Bar, LLC, has most recently begun the process of locating additional site areas in hopes of expanding the Afri residence to expand on their idea of several themed residential districts. From Downtown Afri, to the resort plex, to the community suburbs of the Afri, and now to country living at the Afri the Afri Plex residential community will become a neighborhood and a community put together to offer a unique and enjoyable living environment within our gay demographic market.
In the event should our proposal is rejected, Urban Ground Resort, LLC, intends to continue the construction and operations of the Afri Bar as is without any further interruptions to the operations of the Afri Bar as we anticipate our grand opening mid 2028.
